My Birthday Post

In case you didn’t know, on March 24^th it was my birthday!

Birthdays are a tricky thing. Depending on the year (and the day!) I’m happy or a mess about that 24^th coming up. Sometimes it does hit me hard, as I always thought that at this point in my life I would have already accomplished certain things.

In any case, in the last couple of years my life goals have changed dramatically, and what I wanted to do until then I didn’t want to do anymore. I am now working towards new goals and I’m so happy about it!

So my birthday actually started at 7pm on the 23^rd of March (hello, time zones!). I started receiving messages then, and I opened one of my presents a little before that.

It was coming for my parents and my sister, and I couldn’t be happier with it! I was thinking on getting a camera when our budget allowed it, but now I won’t have to! I’m super thankful and now I only have to learn how to use it to take the best pictures. I am definitely a happy woman!

Later that night, but already the 24^th, my husband gave the cutest birthday card.

Also, he gave me a voucher for a 60 minute couples massage and we’ll go do some shopping too. I was always telling him that we should go get a massage together, and we’re finally doing it! 😀

After working three hours in the morning, we went to get my driver’s license (I can finally drive! LOL), eat lunch and run a couple of errands.

We had tickets to go see the Cirque du Soleil show that night, so we met with my sister & mother in law and a friend. We went also last year, but I think this year’s show was even better. I’m still amazed by how those guys can bend that much! It’s wonderful the things that one can do with the body when you’re disciplined.

There was also a guy doing a mini show with a couple of yo-yo’s. I remember that I tried to learn a couple of tricks with the yo-yo’s when I was a kid, but never really managed to.

We were going to go have dinner afterwards, but my father in law wasn’t feeling ok so we will just go celebrate sometime soon.

It was a great day. I got things done and I celebrated with close people. What else can I ask for?

Birthdays are good for you. The more you have the longer you live.
